The primary enemy of beautiful, healthy skin is the sun. Almost all the changes in our skin which we associate with aging come from the sun. Age spots are a great example of this. Age, or brown spots, are the result of pigment change in our skin when melanin is produced by ultraviolet light exposure. These spots make our skin look older than it should. Fortunately they are very easily treated.
New laser technology can easily remove brown spots from skin. These treatments are usually quite painless and can be done quickly. It’s important that a dermatologist check any brown spots for cancer before any treatment is performed.

Dr. Derick is wonderful. My daughter has severe eczema and I went to Dr. Derick after numerous dissapointing, unsuccesful visits to her pediatrican (& others), and a bad flare up of my daughters eczema. We arrived to a very clean, impressive office, with very polite and professional staff. We were taken into a room where a nurse evaluated my daughter. It did take a while for Dr. Derick to finally get to our room, but once she came in, I was very pleased with the outcome. She was very detailed in her explanation of eczema, and explained more about it than any other doctor had that I met with. She diagnosed my daughter (confirming eczema), and suggested ways in which I could reduce the eczema. Again, at the time of my visit, my daughter had a severe flare up and we didn't know what to do anymore...we were at our wit's end. She gave us a few Rx's, gave us very detailed instructions & "tricks", and by the next day, my daughter's flare up was significantly decreased. I am so pleased with her, and when necessary, I will continue to go back.
